Rossel M. Cabieles V.

Senior Electronics Technician with 22 years building, modifying and testing electronics, from defense receivers to quantum computing hardware.

I handle the circuit board work where mistakes are costly: precision modifications, assembly, test and final inspection on high-value hardware, working side by side with the engineers who design it.

Vision

A future where electronics help heal patients, connect people around the world by satellite, and keep our country safe.

I have spent my career building hardware that serves on the front line: signal-receiver systems at Boeing / Digital Receiver Technology, defense and aerospace electronics at CAES, satellite communication products at NAL Research, and now quantum computing hardware at IonQ. Every board that leaves my bench carries the same standard, because somewhere down the line a service member, an operator or a patient is counting on it. It is a quiet way to serve this country, and I am proud of it.

Motto

Respect what works. Improve what can be better.

“Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of intelligent effort.” — John Ruskin

On the bench, I never touch working hardware on a hunch, because every unnecessary rework is a chance to add a defect. That discipline is how I keep a zero-defect record on high-consequence board modifications. But following the procedure doesn’t mean staying quiet about it. When I see a better way, such as a clearer assembly step, a modification that removes a failure point, or a change that saves time on the next build, I document it and bring it to engineering as a redline so the whole team benefits.

What I bring

Zero-defect board mods

Trusted with high-consequence modifications on quantum control hardware, including RFSoC upgrades and servo modifications.

Cross-team collaboration

Work directly with cryogenics and controls engineering groups to turn redlines into working hardware.

Build-to-ship quality

Final outgoing inspection before shipment, procedure review and updates, and Lean and 5S on the bench.

Floor leadership

Former manufacturing floor supervisor who guided production technicians on assembly, ESD practice and quality.

Values

Precision
Measure twice, solder once. Quality is built in at the bench, not inspected in at the end.
Integrity
Follow the procedure, document the work, and speak up when something isn’t right.
Teamwork
Engineers, technicians and inspectors win or lose together. I help close the gap between design and build.
Continuous improvement
A cleaner bench and a clearer procedure make the next build better. Lean and 5S are daily habits.
Service
Bilingual and approachable, I share what I know with the people around me.
